I went on a long hike in Costa Rica and my feet ended up being quite damaged and the toenail on my big toe on my left foot fell off (gross i know)
Anyway, its now almost fully grown back but on one of the corners, the nail is growing into the skin surrounding my toenail. Its now very swollen, red, so painful and there is quite a bit of puss around it. Other than going to see a doctor, is there anything at home that i can do to try and reduce the swelling and pain?What can I do about an ingrown toenail?
Steep in salty water but might need toe nail removed and course of antibiotics
