What do i do about a bleeding dogs toenail?

my dogs nail looks like its turning blackWhat do i do about a bleeding dogs toenail?
Get something called Quickstop from a pet store. It crystallizes the blood and makes it stop. But I would also take it to a vet. What do i do about a bleeding dogs toenail?
YOU NEED TO TRIM THEM ONCE A WEEK. Get the dog to a vet and have him trim them and then keep them trim!
let them be...only cut them if you see that the nails are curving in......and only cut the white tip of it..
Were you cutting them? If so if you dont have a type of paste in your house that stops bleeding nails from an animal I forgot what it's called something like quickstop I think. Anyway you can use baking powder and put it on that.
Try dipping it in corn starch or flour. Also hold a washcloth over the nail and apply pressure to it. One time this happened with one of our dogs and we put the liquid bandage New Skin on it and it finally stopped. If it keeps bleeding you may have to take it to the vet.
Go to the vet and check it out my dog had it once
If it is still bleeding, put flour on it. If it is already dry, make sure you keep it clean with some hydrogen peroxide or something like that.
I would suggest taking it to the vet and have the nail checked it could be getting ready to fall off. But take it to the vet anyway. good luck.
